D.Pharm [Diploma in Pharmacy]

The Diploma in Pharmacy is a two-year, entry-level diploma course in pharmacy. This course is appropriate for students interested in pursuing a long-term career in the medical field of pharmaceutical sciences, beginning with entry-level positions. This curriculum is intended to train applicants to work in hospitals, community pharmacies, and other pharmaceutical-related fields under the supervision of a licenced pharmacist.

Pharm - D [Doctorate of Pharmacy]

This course was created with the goal of preparing pharmacists to be valuable members of the health-care team when it comes to patient care. Pharm.D. is a six-year programme in which the first five years are spent studying and the final year is spent doing an internship in a hospital.

B.Pharma [Bachelor of Pharmacy]

It is a specialised undergraduate degree programme that falls under the pharmacy umbrella. The B.Pharma programme duration is four years. The course aids in the testing and study of medications for a specific condition ,as well as providing patient education on drug dosage .It is important to provide a thorough understanding  of prescription medications and how they are distributed.

M.Pharm [Master of Pharmacy]

It is Master Degree course organised in such a way that it covers all aspects of pharmacy, including traditional and modern medicines, in terms of technical, studied, practical, and theoretical knowledge. The degree is valuable because a person with it is as experienced as a doctor with years of experience, and in reality, is far ahead of doctors in terms of gaining knowledge and experience in the entire health-care industry.

Eligibility Criteria..

D.Pharm:

Admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy programme includes the following minimum qualifications .
A passing grade in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics in any of the following subjects.
 
 
 
B.Pharm:
 
 
 
Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) OR Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates).
 
 
 
Pharm-D:
 
  1. Candidates who have passed two year P.U.C. examination of Karnataka P.U.C. Board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board or University with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subject – Mathematics or Biology or P.C.M.B. Minimum eligibility should be based on P.C.M. / P.C.M.B. or P.C.B. with 40% in aggregate. For SC/ST students, the minimum requirement in percentage of marks for the admission will be 35% in PUC or its equivalent examination (PCMB/PCB/PCM),
  2. Candidates who have passed D.Pharm course with 40% in aggregate from institutions approved by Pharmacy Council of India U/S 12 of Pharmacy Act, 1948, are only eligible to be admitted to first year Pharm. D course.

M.Pharm:

B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B. Pharm.)
